Eastwood Skatepark is a local skate park located close to downtown houston. Has the usual stuff to skate ...flat bars, pyramids, ledges, miniramps, etc... Also there's some street spots around the park itself. This place also has a basketball court, some swings, a pool and other park like stuff. Also ... every now and then you might see someone fight over something trivial at the basketball court too .... thats always fun to watch... go skate.

joe jamail skatepark

like this spot?

Spot Description:

Joe Jamail skate park is one of the newer skateparks in Houston, Texas. I think this park is kind of special because it is the first legit concrete skatepark of Houston. However, to some people this park just sucks because you have to wear a helmet... Don't nothing else matter... It has a pretty cool set up with: handrails, gaps, stairs and hella transition. The park is usually very crowded during the weekends. If you want to catch a decent sesh you probably want to come here during morning on a school day. Whatever the case you should definitely check out the first downtown Houston skatepark atleast once.

  • Flat Bar, Rails, Manual Pad, Transition, Bowls, Gaps,

tranquility handrail

like this spot?

Spot Description:

Next time you're in downtown Houston you may want to stop by Tranquility park and take a look at a little piece of Houston skateboarding history. The Handrail here used to be all the rage back in the day and has been hit up more times than the average hooker. The spot has even attracted some Pros and some gnarly tricks have gone down. The spot is being constantly skate stopped and unskate stopped. Currently the cities latest attempt to make this spot un-skateable is placing a trash can at the end of the rail. But something tells me this spot is still going to see some gnarly tricks for many years to come.

Obstacle Types:

  • Handrail, hubba, stair set

meyer park

like this spot?

Spot Description:

Meyer Park has cool spots to skate but security here is a bish. This is the kind of spot where you gotta hide your board, sneak past security and just go with a first try mind set. You're probably only going to get a handful of tries but this spot has some pretty interesting obstacles to skate.

Obstacle Types:

  • Gaps, Manual Pad, Rails

Spot Description:

The downtown library has a lil something for everybody. There's gaps, manual pads, and even a flat bar. Security is a bish during normal business hours but every now and then you can get lucky and catch this spot all to yourself ....with the exception of a few hobo's. ........
